| This is the reddest red I've ever seen in a flower--no joke. And if you have some very gravelly soil that is extremely well-drained you will delight at the lovely hummingbirds, butterflies and moths that flock to this rocket red flower. The foliage is finely dissected in a geometric rosette until the flower stalk shoots up 2-3 feet and then adorns itself with red tubular flowers on cypress looking plants. This plant likes regular water that drains away or slightly dry areas but will not tolerate sitting in wet soil. |
