| There's not a better cut flower than Gayfeather but that's just the beginning. This upright beauty looks like a sprig of grass when it sprouts from a roundish corm. Butterflies, bees and flower arrangers love this flower and so do we. I have many dried flower stalks that are lovely still after 5 years. A garden gem. Goes well with coneflowers of all kinds and especially with Butterfly Milkweed and Echinaceas. Blooms from the top down, an unusual flower trait, Liatris is a prairie great. |
